Vocal and Dance Masterclass with Terrance Martin & Blaine Krauss From The National Tour of Hamilton

Are you a Hamilton super-fan? Have you ever wanted to meet a cast member and learn original choreography and songs directly from the show? Are you dying to be in the “room where it happens”? Well, this is your chance to learn from Hamilton himself, Blaine Alden Krauss who plays Hamilton will be coming to CMT along with Dance Captain Terrance Matin.  

  

That’s right! Don’t throw away your shot and take part in a Hamilton Masterclass.  Join us on Monday, December 16th 6pm-8pm for an exciting Masterclass with Hamilton cast members. This Masterclass is an exciting chance for any student to dive into the original material from the musical sensation with an exciting Q & A at the end. 

  

This class is open to Rising Stars (Ages 10-13) and Mainstage (ages 14+) performers.  

Please come dressed/prepared to dance and sing. 

Workshop will take place at CMT’s Creative Arts Center 1545 Parkmoor Ave. Please use the Studio Entrance located on the west side of the building. Doors will open 15 min. prior.  

Blaine Krauss

Blaine Krauss is currently starring in “Hamilton” as Alexander Hamilton after a year on tour as the standby for both Hamilton and Burr. He was thrilled to be part of the second season of “Pose” while appearing in “The Cher Show” on Broadway. Prior to that he was seen as ‘Lola’ in “Kinky Boots” shortly after making his Broadway debut in the smash hit “Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812.” He traveled the world as ‘Simba’ in “The Lion King” and starred in the Radio City Summer Spectacular. Blaine regularly performs with symphonies around the globe and is a regular performer at Feinstein’s/54 Below where his acclaimed solo show “From the Soul” garnered him a Bistro Award. His talents led him in 2011 to be a feature performer for the largest Commemoration of 9/11 outside of the U.S at the Trocadero in Paris, France. In 2010 he was selected to be 1 of 20 Presidential Scholars in the Arts by the White House and Presidential Scholar Commission. This venture led to having met President Obama and concluded with a performance at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. He was selected to be the Feature Vocalist at the 2010 July 4th Celebration at the US National Archives; was a selected participant at the International Fringe Festival in Edinburgh Scotland. His theatrical credits include Godspell and Spelling Bee at the West Virginia Public Theatre, Evita, Into the Woods, Civil War, Make Me A Song, Chess and Jean Valjean in CCM’s Les Miserables. Blaine is a proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Terrance Martin

Terrance Martin is a Lithonia, Georgia born and raised Artist. Beginning his performing arts training at DeKalb School of the Arts and Dance Makers of Atlanta. Terrance was able to continue his training and receive a B.F.A in Dance Performance from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, on a full ride scholarship. Since leaving UArts, Terrance has performed and taught Master Classes around the world, and had the privilege of being on judge’s panels for many dance competitions and currently on the Philip Tour of Hamilton: An American Musical as a Dance Captain/Swing.

Some of his favorite Musical Theatre credits include; Angelica Tour/1st Natl. Philip Tour/2nd Natl. Tour and International Tour of Hamilton: An American Musical (DC/Swing); Zorro the International China Tour; Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID (Sebastian), MY FAIR LADY (Harry), MAMA MIA (Eddie), FOOTLOOSE (Travis), WEST SIDE STORY (Pepe) Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST; IN THE HEIGHTS Terrance has also had the privilege to perform ballets choreographed by: Ronald K. Brown, Camille Brown, Earl Mosley, Louise Johnson, Ronen Koresh, Cindy Saigado, Zane Booker, Brian Sanders, Wayne St.David, Donald Lunsford, Pamela Jones- Malave and Molly Misgalla.
