The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is the irresistible story of a fourteen-year-old boy growing up in the heartland of America, based on the classic novel. Filled with foot-stomping, toe-tapping songs by Don Schlitz (“The Gambler”) and with a book by Ken Ludwig, this musical adventure is a tale of thrilling escapes, comedy and inspiration for the whole family.
Set in 1840 Missouri, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is the tale of young Tom Sawyer and the neverending mischief of which he so often finds himself a part; whether it’s matching wits with Aunt Polly, tricking his friends into whitewashing a fence for him or narrowly escaping the clutches of a murderous villain. Along with his best friend, Huckleberry Finn, and his love interest, Becky Thatcher, the greatest Tom Sawyer exploits are plucked from the book and plopped onto the stage.

Bio
For the past 25+ years, Shannon’s CMT directing/choreography credits and collaborations have included: Cinderella, 13, Descendants, Starlight Express, Joseph, Anything Goes, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Crazy for You, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Ragtime, Mary Poppins, Jekyll & Hyde, Disney’s Tarzan, Aida, Barnum, Singin’ in the Rain, Disney’s When You Wish, The Who’sTommy, West Side Story, Leader of the Pack, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Chess, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Miss Saigon. Shannon’s regional performing credits include: A Chorus Line (Cassie, Val, Sheila); Chicago (Roxie Hart); White Christmas (Judy); Ragtime (Evelyn Nesbitt); Beauty and the Beast (Babette, Silly Girl, Carpet); The King and I (Anna); Chess (The Arbiter); Seven Brides (Martha); The Full Monty (Pam), Disney’s When You Wish (Cinderella), Something Rotten, and Mamma Mia. Shannon is a proud CMT alumna and Mainstage mom, the Performing Arts teacher at ACDS, and has a BA in Theater and Dance from Santa Clara University.
Pam Serrano
Bio
is the owner and director of PnC Music, celebrating its 11th year in teaching music to young people. Prior to this is a trail 30+ years of professional music experience which includes writing and releasing a pop R&B music album with an independent label. After obtaining her college degree in Business Accountancy from SJSU, she took a quick pause from music to practice as a Certified Public Accountant. It was her first child who re-introduced her to her first love, music. She branched out to teaching Voice and Audition classes, and is currently teaching at Robert Sanders school for CMT’s outreach program. Credits as vocal director at CMT include Seussical, Robinhood, Godspell, Lightning Thief, and Disney’s Descendants.
