This year, CMT honors people who have given incredible service to CMT during a unique and challenging time in 2020-2021.
Contributions as a role model to fellow performers, and for his artistry as a cinematographer, documentarian, and editor to performance and promotional materials for CMT. His many contributions will provide a long-lasting effect on all of CMT.
Turning on a dime, CMT’s 2020 Spring performances were kept alive by the hard-working production staff’s quick reaction to what seemed like an insurmountable situation. Creating norms and techniques never before implemented, the artists/mentors created performance opportunities though zoom rehearsals as well as filmed and virtual production segments. This unique experience was only a success because of these mentors who supported performers and their families with all the enthusiasm and optimism that have come to define the CMT community.
A pivotal leader throughout the pandemic serving various roles within Team CMT, as chair of the BIPOC committee and ultimately taking over as Board chair in the summer of 2020. Her infectious positivity kept parents and performers engaged as the organization navigated the unknown. Her leadership helped CMT successfully open the Creative Arts Center in time for summer productions and continues to offer a wealth of enthusiasm and expertise. As an alum, parent volunteer, Team CMT lead and Board Chair, Stacy embodies CMT to the fullest.
Thanks to their steadfast love for this organization, deep roots in our community, and strategic positivity, Kimberly and Michael Mulcahy helped CMT accomplish the impossible during a pandemic in raising over $2M in order to develop, construct, and complete the Creative Arts center as a legacy for our community and future performers at CMT. We have seen their generosity on and off stage throughout the history of this organization but their greatest gift is helping push us forward to ensure that CMT has a permanent home and a place for performers to call home.
When California issued its shelter in place order in 2020, two productions halted in person rehearsals and continued virtually. 22 months later a few performers from these shows will now take the stage to perform selected pieces in honor of these productions and all cast members.
